1What is the ISCA Career Support Programme?
A comprehensive initiative by ISCA in partnership with e2i and WSG to assist accounting professionals (including non-members) navigate career transitions. It includes providing career-related resources, job opportunities, upskilling, coaching, financial support, and professional affiliation to the industry.
2Who is eligible to participate?

This initiative is open to the public – both ISCA and non-ISCA members is allowed to register. However, eligibility for the programme will be assessed based on our criteria framework.

Certain support offered by our partners - e2i and WSG are only applicable to Singaporean and PRs.

3What is the ISCA Talent Marketplace?

An online career-matching platform for aspiring Professional Business Accountants, Chartered Accountants, student members, and ISCA-accredited employers. Find out more from the website.

4How do I join the Talent Marketplace or Job Board?
Access via ISCA's Career Support page. Some of the services might require you to log in with ISCA credentials.
5What is ISCA’s Career Matching Programme?
Members can apply to be profiled publicly to employers. ISCA will contact you for consent before sharing your details. It's complimentary but only for members.
6What is "Skills First Pay Later"?

If you would like to upskill and bridge any accounting skills gap while seeking your next accounting job opportunity, you can consider apply to be part of ISCA Career Support Programme.

Eligible individuals can enrol in the ISCA Professional Business Accountant (PBA) Programme or Singapore CA Qualification, where the course fee or examination fee will be waived while you are searching for your next employment opportunity.

9What is The Accountancy Careers Hub about?

The Accountancy Careers Hub (ACH) is a joint initiative by NTUC’s e2i, the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), which aims to be the main touchpoint providing employment and employability support for the accountancy sector. The ACH offers targeted sectoral career guidance, jobs, training courses, and industry-specific events and resources to jobseekers who are looking to enter the industry or in-employment workers exploring new career tracks within the accountancy sector or are looking to upskill to advance their career within the industry.

11What is the Career Conversion Programmes (CCPs) about?

Career Conversion Programmes (CCPs) help mid-career new hires or existing employees to be reskilled into growth job roles with good longer-term prospects.

12What is the SkillsFuture Jobseeker Support Scheme?

The SkillsFuture Jobseeker Support scheme by WSG provides temporary financial support of up to S$6,000 over 6 months to involuntarily unemployed individuals, to support them in finding a job that makes better use of their skills and experiences.

Under the Volunteer Career Advisors initiative, individuals can tap on the Volunteer Career Advisor's industry experience to gain sector-and occupation-specific career advice and be connected to government programmes and services. 15Are the services or initiatives free?

Most of the services like career matching, coaching, and government schemes are complimentary to our jobseekers.

Under the ISCA Career Support Programme, current or aspiring accounting professionals, including ISCA and non-ISCA members, may apply for the Membership Fee Waiver support.

16What is the duration of the training programmes under the ISCA Career Support Programme?

It varies by initiative and the requirements set for the programmes and ranging from short online learning videos under ISCAccountify, to ISCA Professional Business Accountant Programme (maximum of 6 months) and SCAQ which may take a few years as it leads to a Chartered Accountant of Singapore designation.

Programmes offered by WSG differ in duration.

17What benefit do I get if I sign up for Career Support Programme and register myself as an ISCA member?
You will be able to receive membership fee waiver with your application. Gain access to a complimentary 1-year ISCAccountify subscription and most importantly gain professional affiliation to the industry through networking and invitation to career-related events.
18Is there a limit to the number of membership fee waivers I can receive?
Eligible members may receive up to 2 annual membership fee waivers under the Career Support Programme. For subsequent years of continued unemployment, members may apply for a 50% reduced fee.
19What happens if my Career Support Programme application for fee waiver support is rejected?
Applications are assessed individually, and decisions are final. However, you may still refer to other forms of career-related support from ISCA and our partners such as e2i and WSG which might be useful in your career transition.
20Do I need to apply for CPE exemption if my Career Support Programme application is approved?

No separate application is needed.

Upon approval of your Career Support Programme application, members receive:

  • One-year complimentary access to ISCAccountify (self-paced, bite-sized learning platform)
  • Additional 6 months to fulfill any remaining CPE hours

We strongly encourage you to engage in continuing professional education to stay updated with the latest developments in business and accountancy. You'll have an additional 6 months to fulfill any remaining hours and make up for any shortfall.

Members who have difficulty meeting the CPE requirements and are not engaged in professional work may submit a separate CPE exemption request.

22How is my data used if I’m profiled?

Career Support Programme PDPA Clause

By registering for the ISCA Career Support Programme, you agree to ISCA Privacy and Data Protection Policy and that ISCA may collect, use and/or disclose your personal data for matters relating to the registration of the ISCA information session and updating you on the in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

The Institute may from time to time use your personal data to inform you of related news, activities, benefits, goods, services, facilities and events.

The Institute may also use your personal data for the conduct of statistical research and studies, and analyse the data collected to administer, develop and improve its services.

For the purpose of career-related event coverage, photography (and videography) will be in progress during the event. Please inform the photographers (or organiser) if you do not wish for your photographs to be taken.
